Ingredients:
1 part, friend getting divorced
2 parts, moving friend's stuff out of ex's basement
1 part, no-show helper, so 3-person job done by 2 people
1 part, friend being uncomfortable driving large scary U-haul van so you have to
1 part, twice as many boxes to move as you were anticipating
3 parts, trying to keep mood light and fun
1 part, failing to keep mood light and fun
1 part, Indian food halfway through so the last bit of box moving involves sour stomach
Take above ingredients, mix in large scary U-haul container.
Wait till most difficult part of exercise (moving most valuable and delicate objects out of house) seems to be going smoothly, then fold in sudden unexpected rain
Add irritation when friend refuses to move boxes deeper into van because he is so worried and upset that he can't think straight and doesn't realize that right inside the open van door is also getting rained on
Whip to peevish froth when friend leaves you out in rain manhandling boxes away from van door while he goes inside to get things that are not packed yet.
Add insult to injury when friend realizes he left his car keys at home so must make ONE LAST trip in large scary U-Haul van to get keys.
