A Brief Weekend Overview

I don't have much time this morning, but my buddy list has been updating a storm recently, and I like to keep up with the cool kids, so a brief entry.....
Friday night rocked the big fat house, y'all! The girlf and I went out to a beer hut with one of her best pals and her best pal's boyf, and we had a super effing good time. The pal is aces, the boyf is aces, the complete strangers who joined us at our large table were aces, it was a night of jocularity and intoxication that wasn't even paid for with a hangover! And how many semi-upscale beer huts do you know with PBR on tap? If I lived in this stupid town instead of 45 miles away, I'd be there quite regular-like. I probably will anyway.
Oh yeah, after the drinking and joking and storytelling, the girlf and I abandoned my car and took a cab to her place. We stopped on the way and got some ice cream, and all I can say is that Ben and Jerry's Island Paradise ice cream is as close as you're gonna get to Memphis in a cardboard carton. Get some. We had planned to try it as a marital aid, but the fact is, we got so carried away that it ended up just melting in the dish next to the bed. Oops.
Saturday I worked around my house, which really needed it, and then Saturday night my mom and I watched Tea With Mussolini which was ok if you like movies that aren't that good, but aren't bad either.
Then Sunday I went for a day hike with my old pal Vivian and her dog, had a lovely dinner, and then went back over to the girlf's house. All in all, a swell weekend. How was yours?
