Back to work tomorrow/today - I feel pretty much better - still a bit creaky, but overall, fine. May have slept a bit too much today.....
Just got off the phone with my new best friend..... it's not the first lobster scene, but it sure as heck ain't the second, either. Red likee. Things are moving simultaneously faster and slower than I'd like, which is, I guess, how life goes. Here's a stumbling block - she isn't a pop culture nutball - half of my subtle, witty, and trenchant references go right past her head. (I'd say over her head, but she doesn't even know they are references, so I can't really say she doesn't get them....) This is troubling - a large portion of my conversational gambits are laid waste, and I have to resort to being thoughtful and sincere instead of glib and facile. Help me, Spock.
