You know, I usually don't get all misty-eyed about the death of famous people. I mean, it's been a long long time since I felt like I actually knew the people. There's no reason to think that because I like someone's art, I'm gonna like them.
So when someone famous dies, no matter how important they were or weren't to me, I usually react with something like this - "Oh. I hope their family is ok." Bob Stinson? No surprise there, really. Kurt? Shrug. Joey Ramone? Sad, but - well - you know. He's dead.
But I dunno - this death of Dee Dee business is really bringing me down. I guess maybe cuz Dee Dee was always my favorite Ramone. Like some people are Paul people, some are John people, I'm a Dee Dee person.
Wah.
