Soup and Snuggling

03/19/2002 - 11:15 a.m.

So yesterday, which is to say Monday, I wrote this big long entry about all sorts of groovy stuff - my weekend away with some of my more male-type pals, and how we were going to go skiing but didn't because the conditions were so poor, and instead watched Fox Celebrity Boxing, a Dean Martin Celebrity Roast, and supremely weak cable porn that one of the pals had taped off the Hot Network, and got drunk on beer and whiskey, and musings on various and sundry stuff, like for example why are we (or at least I) drawn to physically attractive people even when we (or at least I) really dislike them personally, and remembering this old commercial that used to run when I was a kid and reminded me of my dad.....

but I dunno what happened - the evil gremlins got it and now it is not here. Filth.

And I'm too busy to get down and write it all again, so I'll just say - last night was pretty great. My main squeeze and I went for a hand-holding walk in the snow, which was very nice, and then we had some super dynamite soup that she made, and some very good bread that a friend of hers most likely made, and some lovely red wine, and then we snuggled on the couch, and then it was so nice and warm and lovely that I fell asleep. Then we went to bed.

In the morning we woke up and had some pretty great sex, and then we got up and started our days.

Work demands - I obey.

Music to work by:
Yma Sumac - "Taita Inty [Virgin of the Sun God]" (Voice of the Xtabay)
"This traditional Incan hymn dates back to 1000 B.C. and is the musical keystone to Incan worship of the Sun God. With the Spanish conquest and the attempt to convert the natives to Catholicism, this hymn was forbidden. It not only was in conflict with church teachings but evoked such a deep emotional response in the people that it incited rebellion against the new authorities."

See what I did there? I went and moved my diaryring to a rings and reviews page!
